Kyle Bartlett

Kyle was born in 1978 in Saint Louis, Missouri. He lived in Chicago and Houston as a young boy before moving to NJ where he lived for much of his childhood. Spending most vacations in the mountains of New England and New York and most summers on the shores of Cape Cod and Rhode Island, the majority of Kyle's early work is concentrated in these regions. Bartlett currently lives in Boston and maintains a studio in Tiverton, RI.

• 2000-2007 Studio Artist, Thomas Street Studios, Cranston, RI

Kyle has designed, restored and executed murals and portraits for numerous establishments including: The Capital Grille (numerous locations), Heartland Brewery (NYC), the Wequassett Inn (Chatham, MA), Foxwoods Casino (CT), The Christmas Tree Shops, and many churches and homes throughout the country.

Kyle's work has been included in numerous exhibitions including the RI Painters for Save the Bay from 2005-2009, the Mystic Maritime 30th Annual International in 2009, and the Mystic Maritime Miniatures by Maritime Masters in 2009. Bartlett and his work have been featured in an article in Coastal Life Magazine (previously known as Home Gallery Magazine).

Kyle's approach to painting can be described as realist, impressionist, and tonalist, as he draws inspiration from all of these genres. He has sought and found inspiration from artists such as John Singer Sargent, William Merritt Chase, Dennis Miller Bunker, Arthur Streeton, Sydney Laurence, Hugh Bolton Jones, Boldini, Sorolla and numerous others. An avid outdoorsman, much of Kyle’s fine art focuses on the landscape. The natural environment is a constant source of inspiration for Bartlett.
